Hi!
It's your friendly neighborhood mod here to remind every single person on this site to stay within the PG-13 rule! It's more important to us than one might think, mainly because it's not just our site that has to adhere to these rules, but every site under Proboards. Furthermore, if there IS any situation where that rule is explicitly broken, then the site may be shut down, and I'm sure none of us want that!
To remind us of what the PG-13 rule consists of, I've composed a list of topics and concepts that everyone should be aware of what they are about.
You are allowed to:
- Swear (although to an extent - no F-bombs!)
- Have violence (these are pirates, after all!)
- Have romance (although this will be expanded upon in the 'don'ts')
- Have some gore (ALTHOUGH NOT MUCH.)
You are NOT allowed to:
- throw f-bombs
- have explicit sex or anything 'steamy'
- have excessive gore - we all want to keep our lunches!
I know this is a very general list because I most likely forgot some things (I'll edit as I remember them), but hopefully this should give you some insight on what's allowed and what isn't~
What should happen if you break the PG-13 rule? Well, for starters, this thread is everyone's first warning, since some people might not even know if they're about to cross the line. If, after today, you STILL break the rule, then either myself or one of the other staff will drop another reminder in your thread saying that you're going too far, and that you should edit or delete some posts. If the warning is ignored and the rule is broken a third time, then the thread will be deleted. Should the offenses continue, the member can and will be banned as the staff sees fit.
I know I only told Kat about this, and the rest of the staff should probably approve of this before it's official, but I really think it's a good idea to enforce some of the rules around this site, because I don't want the site being closed down on us.
PLEASE POST HERE SAYING YOU HAVE READ THIS SO I KNOW YOU UNDERSTAND THE RULE.
